[Remote] FOIA Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. CGS Federal is seeking a FOIA Analyst to support the reputed company mission of a large federal agency. The role involves processing FOIA requests, creating correspondence, and facilitating communication with requesters and associated parties.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and analyze new and backlogged Freedom of Information reputed company (FOIA) requests
• Intake incoming requests and prepare FOIA request folders
• reputed company request data in the FOIA tracking database
• Draft response letters and other FOIA correspondence
• Communicate and initiate negotiations with requesters, FOIA staff, sponsors (or regulated industry representatives), and contractors pertaining to records requested and associated information to be released
• Serve as a reputed company with requesters, and on rare occasions, other agencies and appellants, regarding records that may involve more than one (1) agency component/office
• Coordinate searches for reputed company documents and identify duplicate records
• Review program records for responsiveness and offer release determinations
• Ensure released materials do not contain information exempted under the applicable exemptions

Skills

• Six (6) years of experience processing Freedom of Information reputed company (FOIA) requests
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of FOIA rules and regulations; specifically applying exemptions b(4), b(5), and b(6)
• Experience redacting records with trade secrets and confidential reputed company information
• Ability to read, write, reputed company, and understand English
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain a government reputed company clearance
• Prior federal government experience is valued
• Experience with FOIA tools like FOIA reputed company
• Experience using SecureRelease
• reputed company reputed company clearance preferred
