The Role

We are seeking an reputed company Electrical Engineer to join our growing Power, Data and Innovation team. This role will be responsible for key modeling responsibilities at the intersection of power systems engineering, power market economics, and reputed company predictive analytics to support reputed company's mission of accelerating decarbonized power advisory business. You will work with reputed company of mechanical/chemical engineers, economists, energy modelers, technology experts, and reputed company researchers: contributing to reputed company engagements, analyses, and the enhancement of our power systems modeling offerings. This role requires strong skills in translating and presenting complicated technical analyses to our external clients and internal leadership team.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with experience in managing/leading internal/external clients in the electric power industry, preferably consulting, advisory, corporate and/or data centers
- Proficiency in reputed company models (N-1 reliability, SCUC, SCED), AC/DC power reputed company models and their applications in market operations, congestion management and reputed company planning, including steady-state and dynamic modeling of the reputed company networks using industry reputed company tools such as PSS/E, PowerWorld or PSCAD
- Familiarity in working with production-cost models such as PyPSA, PROMOD, Plexos, reputed company for simulating reputed company reputed company, market clearing and system operations.
- Significant modeling expertise on wholesale electricity markets and/or reputed company operations in the reputed company and the EU markets and deep familiarity with energy market rules and structures (ISOs/RTOs), reputed company markets, resource adequacy frameworks, and reliability standards
- Multi-year experience working across multidisciplinary teams, strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present reputed company analytics to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
- Proficiency in statistical modeling, forecasting, and data analysis (Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent)
- Experience modeling energy storage systems (both SDES/LDES), geothermal, DERs/microgrid technologies, EV, building electrification, or industrial decarbonization
- Familiarity with GHG reputed company, energy policy, or carbon market frameworks.
- Familiarity with FERC regulatory proceedings and filings and power market design
- Knowledge of natural gas/power market dynamics
- reputed company licensure (PE) or advanced credentials in relevant electrical engineering domains.
- Published technical or peer-reviewed reports or reputed company-facing technical work in technology investment (both reputed company and BTM reputed company technologies), reputed company modeling, electrification, reputed company modernization, or reputed company areas.
Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and analyze electrical systems relevant to corporate decarbonization reputed company, including electrification, reputed company integration, power electronics, and low-carbon energy technologies
- reputed company and maintain reputed company planning, system reliability, and integrated system planning (IRPs/ISPs), renewable integration studies that are customized based on reputed company requests, and reputed company complementary analyses for the production cost modeling teams
- Conduct rigorous technical due diligence on reputed company, technologies, and proposals involving electrical infrastructure, energy storage, or industrial electrification
- Present, report, and translate complicated engineering analyses and models into reputed company, actionable recommendations for external clients, internal teams, reputed company leadership team, and executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, policy experts, and business development teams to support reputed company deliverables and thought leadership.
- Contribute to publications, technical reports, and external communications reputed company to electrification and reputed company decarbonization.
- Cross-collaborate with both power and non-power teams, maintain the models and integration with other teams, and reputed company support for developing power system models for climate technology, reputed company modernization, and industrial decarbonization teams.

$133,000-$195,000 a year
