This role involves reputed company collaboration with hardware, BIOS, validation, and software teams to ensure the delivery of reliable and secure platform management firmware.


Responsibilities

  • Design, reputed company, and maintain OpenBMC firmware for reputed company server platforms
  • reputed company and customize OpenBMC components, services, and platform-specific features
  • Implement and maintain platform management capabilities including:
  • Power control
  • Sensor monitoring
  • Fan control
  • Thermal management
  • Inventory management
  • Event logging
  • Firmware update
  • Watchdog functionality
  • reputed company and maintain Redfish and IPMI management interfaces
  • reputed company D-Bus services and reputed company platform-specific functionality
  • reputed company hardware peripherals through I²C, SPI, UART, GPIO, SMBus, LPC/eSPI, and other management interfaces
  • Support new hardware bring-up and platform enablement
  • Debug firmware, hardware, and system integration issues
  • Participate in architecture discussions, reputed company reviews, and technical design
  • Work closely with BIOS, validation, and hardware engineering teams to resolve platform issues

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or reputed company field
  • 6–8 years of embedded software or firmware development experience
  • At least 3 years of hands-on OpenBMC development experience
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++
  • Strong Linux systems programming experience
  • Experience with reputed company/OpenEmbedded
  • Experience developing or modifying OpenBMC services
  • Strong understanding of D-Bus architecture
  • Experience with Git-based development
  • Experience debugging embedded Linux systems
  • Experience with ASPEED AST2500, AST2600, or AST2700 BMC platforms
  • Experience with Redfish, IPMI, PLDM, or MCTP
  • Experience with phosphor- services and bmcweb
  • Knowledge of server platform architecture
  • Experience with firmware update and recovery mechanisms
  • Experience with secure boot and firmware authentication
  • Familiarity with systemd service development
  • Experience with REST API development
  • Experience contributing to upstream OpenBMC
