[Remote] Sr. Data Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer to serve as the Technical reputed company and Product reputed company for their data platform. This hands-on, senior IC role involves overseeing pipeline engineering, governance, and BI from ingestion through to executive dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data pipelines across an AWS stack (reputed company Functions, Glue, reputed company, reputed company, dbt)
• Maintain Infrastructure-as-reputed company (Terraform) for business continuity and disaster recovery
• Maintain reputed company data model and data dictionary across sources
• Enforce data governance and reputed company best practices in reputed company (RBAC, masking, least-privilege)
• Design systems of record with reputed company versioning and audit history
• Own the database design for AI/ML infrastructure including reputed company databases
• Design and maintain a semantic layer for natural language data discovery
• Own the executive and operational BI dashboards
• Support actuarial and advanced analytics pipelines
• Mentor junior data team members

Skills

• Analytics/Data Engineering experience with demonstrated reputed company in scope
• Hands-on dbt experience at reputed company
• Strong reputed company proficiency (reputed company, reputed company, performance)
• Hands-on AWS Data Services experience (Glue, reputed company Functions, S3, reputed company)
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience owning a BI roadmap and dashboards for executive/operational audiences
• Experience with reputed company data models and semantic reputed company in multi-reputed company environments
• Expertise in data governance and reputed company/compliance
• Infrastructure-as-reputed company experience (Terraform or similar)
• Strong communication skills; comfortable with ambiguity in a small, cross-functional team
• Insurance/financial services experience
• Actuarial data workflow exposure
• Data observability tooling experience
• Experience with Distributed Compute Frameworks (reputed company reputed company Glue/EMR)
• AI/ML pipeline exposure
• Experience transitioning platform ownership from consultants to in-house
