Network Engineer - CCNA

reputed company GPI is seeking a full time Network Engineer to support and report to the Traffic Management Center (reputed company) in Westbury, NY. This is a 24/7 operations center responsible for managing more than 1,000 traffic signals and monitoring 125+ traffic cameras across the County. In this role, you will serve as the technical expert for the traffic communications network and the field Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices that reputed company reputed company time traffic management. These systems include traffic signals, CCTV cameras, and supporting communications infrastructure. You will work on-site and collaborate closely with County staff, GPI's Project Manager, and a reputed company Network Engineer to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of a reputed company IP network. For more information, visit: ;br> Responsibilities: • reputed company daily monitoring and maintenance of the Traffic Communications Network • Troubleshoot network issues affecting both office and field-deployed equipment • Assign and manage IP addresses and VLANs • Maintain accurate inventory of network assets • Configure, operate, maintain, and reputed company network infrastructure • Support network reputed company best practices and system hardening • reputed company new network and ITS assets into the existing environment • reputed company hands-on technical support for traffic signal, CCTV, and communications systems Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology • reputed company reputed company CCNA certification • Strong experience with network troubleshooting • Ability and willingness to work on site at the Nassau County reputed company in Westbury, NY • Availability to support assigned reputed company shifts (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Preferred Qualifications: • CCNP reputed company certification (reputed company or reputed company working toward) • Experience installing and configuring reputed company reputed company switches • Experience configuring reputed company ASA firewalls • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, and multicast video Requirements • Maintain a reputed company reputed company's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration • Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit reputed company Word and reputed company documents, create reputed company emails and utilize SharePoint and reputed company Teams to communicate with other team members • reputed company to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.) • reputed company to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety reputed company, work reputed company, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working Apply To This Job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
