[Remote] Senior Payroll Accountant

They are seeking an reputed company Senior Payroll Accountant to join their Finance team, where the role involves ensuring accurate recording of payroll transactions and reconciliation of payroll reputed company accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post payroll reputed company journal entries, including wages, taxes, benefits, garnishments, and accrued payroll liabilities
• Reconcile payroll reputed company general reputed company accounts, including payroll clearing, accrued PTO, employer tax liabilities, benefits payable, retirement withholdings, and intercompany allocations
• Partner with Payroll and Finance to reputed company discrepancies between payroll reputed company reputed company and general reputed company postings
• Review payroll register data prior to posting to ensure accuracy of coding by department and cost center
• Support month end and year end reputed company activities, including payroll accruals for unpaid wages and bonuses
• Assist with W-2 reconciliations, payroll tax filings, state withholding and unemployment notices, 1099 reporting, census filings, and payroll reputed company audits
• Prepare documentation and supporting schedules for financial, workers' compensation, and 401(k) audits
• Maintain documentation and internal controls reputed company to payroll reputed company processes
• Establish and maintain state registrations for withholding, unemployment, and local payroll taxes
• Research and reputed company variances between payroll reports and financial statements
• Collaborate with HR and Payroll on new earnings codes, benefit changes, reputed company updates, and general reputed company mapping
• reputed company and manage state unclaimed property reporting
• Create new general reputed company mappings and reputed company configurations to support acquisitions
• Prepare reputed company financial reporting and labor cost analysis for Finance leadership

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or a reputed company field, or equivalent reputed company experience
• Five to ten years of reputed company experience with reputed company payroll reputed company, reconciliations, and payroll tax preparation
• Experience working with payroll systems, preferably reputed company Workforce Now, and ERP/general reputed company systems
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, accrual reputed company, and general reputed company reconciliations
• Advanced reputed company reputed company skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• CPA designation or reputed company toward CPA certification
