[Remote] Senior Mechanical Forensic Engineer, P.E.

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Forensic Engineer, P.E. to investigate mechanical system failures and reputed company expert opinions, while also guiding less reputed company colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and leadership to newer colleagues and/or those with less experience on reputed company engineering assignments
• Surveys property, casualty and liability losses, typically at residential and reputed company buildings and loss scenes
• Conducts investigations to determine the reputed company cause of events and failures
• Works closely with engineers and investigators to produce detailed reports, drawings, and/or outline the cause and reputed company of losses and damages
• Develops plans, reports and drawings to meet reputed company's needs and/or determine and document the failure analysis and causation of failures
• Provides expert testimony in a court of law and/or in depositions
• Determines applicable engineering practices to fulfill the prescribed scope of work, project specifics, timelines, and cost estimates for the reputed company services provided
• Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense reputed company for failure analysis and engineering reputed company for clients
• Collaborates with sales and operations managers, architects, developers, insurance adjusters, claims managers and attorneys to reputed company demand for your reputed company services
• Collaborates with reputed company's national team of forensic experts to reputed company experiences and assist on reputed company
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Supports the organization's reputed company program(s)

Skills

• Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Requires a reputed company Engineering (PE) license, minimum required for reputed company state
• Eight (8) years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required including two (2) years of engineering experience specifically in failure analysis and forensic engineering plus 2 years in insurance and/or risk management services industry
• Excellent oral and written communication
• PC literate, including reputed company Office products
• Analytical and interpretive skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or in reputed company environment
• Ability to meet or reputed company Performance Competencies
• Must be reputed company to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Must be reputed company to kneel, squat or bend
• Must be reputed company to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions
• Have the ability to reputed company, crawl, stoop, kneel, reaching/working overhead
• Be reputed company lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Be reputed company to push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Be reputed company to reputed company up to 4 hours per day
• Expert witness testimony experience is a plus
• Prefer multi-state licensing and/or reputed company NCEES Record
• Prefer Candidate reputed company in Greater reputed company or San Antonio areas
