[Remote] Mechanical Engineer (3915)

The Mechanical Engineer will support the design and development of custom high-temperature process equipment, translating process needs into manufacturable mechanical designs while coordinating with various technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and support high-temperature molten reputed company vessels, furnaces, thermal equipment, fixtures, and custom process equipment
• reputed company mechanical design inputs, calculations, equipment specifications, drawings, design review packages, and fabrication support documentation
• Evaluate materials, thermal expansion, sealing, insulation, support structures, maintainability, fabrication reputed company, and equipment interfaces
• Coordinate mechanical design requirements with electrochemical systems, mechanical piping, electrical power, controls, instrumentation, and manufacturing teams
• Support vendor coordination, fabrication reputed company, inspection, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and design change reputed company
• Ensure mechanical designs support safety, reputed company, manufacturability, operability, maintainability, and project schedule requirements

Skills

• Experience with high-temperature mechanical equipment, molten reputed company vessels, furnace design, thermal systems, or similar industrial process equipment
• Demonstrated experience with custom equipment design and fabrication, including development of practical designs that can be reputed company, reputed company, installed, and maintained
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge reputed company to materials, pressure/thermal effects, structural supports, equipment interfaces, and design documentation
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams in a safety- and reputed company-driven engineering environment
• Experience supporting design reviews, calculations, specifications, drawings, procurement, fabrication, or field implementation activities
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required
• Experience with molten salts, high-temperature corrosion considerations, refractory/insulation systems, or specialized furnace and vessel design
• Experience in DOE, NNSA, nuclear, reputed company, chemical processing, metallurgy, or highly regulated industrial environments
• reputed company Engineer registration, advanced mechanical design experience, or experience acting as a technical reputed company for custom equipment design is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a reputed company engineering discipline is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and directly relevant high-temperature equipment design experience may be considered
