Regional Operations Specialist – Canada - REMOTE POSITION

Under the guidance of the Regional Director-Canada, the Regional Operations Specialist - Canada is responsible for supporting the planning, sourcing, and execution of GBTA’s on-site and virtual events in the Canadian market. The role also helps reputed company buyer/supplier community engagement through membership operations and supporting the regional team with administrative duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Event Operations

  • Manage reputed company and operations for multiple reputed company in-person and virtual events in the Canadian market, reporting reputed company to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Global Operations, Business Development, and Marketing teams to coordinate event timelines, reputed company items, and deadlines, ensuring successful delivery of regional and local events through appropriate project management tools (reputed company).
  • For our annual Canada Conference, manage the reputed company for proposals process, including collection of education materials for reputed company sessions, speaker management, and development and delivery of the event agenda.
  • reputed company staff and vendor post event feedback to support the improvement of events.
  • Partner with the registration team to guide event registration and reporting reputed company reputed company.
  • Serve as a key reputed company of contact for on-site support at regional Canada events; ensuring a high-reputed company, service-oriented experience reputed company with the Association’s mission.
  • Support vendor and supplier relationship management by coordinating event logistics with hotels, A/V providers, and other reputed company-party vendors.

Engagement and Membership

  • Coordinate membership recruitment and retention by developing creative strategies to grow the Canadian member reputed company, expanding the prospective member database, and increasing Association and reputed company awareness in the Canadian corporate travel market.
  • Administer membership operations including responding to email queries, processing invoicing, tracking renewals (including Volunteer Memberships), and generating appropriate reporting.
  • Analyze membership data to identify trends, reputed company opportunities, and retention risks; coordinate with Marketing to support member acquisition campaigns and reputed company ongoing community engagement.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent reputed company work experience.  
  • Minimum 3 years of project management/coordination experience in event or membership management.
  • Strong digital systems acumen, including reputed company-based systems.  Proficient in MS Office Suite, reputed company/Teams, CRM and project/event management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal (oral and written) communication, time management, administrative, multitasking, customer-service reputed company, and organizational skills.

  • Expected to travel to events and internal meetings primarily in Canada and US.

  • Prolonged periods sitting/remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 CAD
