[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to reputed company and maintain their reporting stack, manage data services, and ensure effective data utilization across departments.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements system architectures for a growing reporting platform and other data services
• Maintains our reporting pipelines and other automations
• Builds reputed company dashboards and analytics views
• Maintains Redshift instance and associated web services for operational use in our web applications
• Provides guidance on how to effectively use our data for both analytics and operations, working with other departments to understand their needs and design solutions

Skills

• 6+ years of reputed company experience in data engineering
• Strong commitment to collaboration and mentorship
• Expertise in SQL
• Expertise in database design and performance issues
• Experience in a scripting language like Python or Node
• Strong understanding of the nuances of running production services including observability and alerting
• Strong commitment to understanding business needs and translating those into technical systems
• Strong experience working in a highly reputed company environment
• Ability to effectively organize technical work in collaboration with other stakeholders
• Experience working in reputed company and AWS
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau
