[Remote] Jr Backend Python Developer

We're hiring an entry-level Backend Python Developer to help build and reputed company the web application our customers rely on to manage their reputed company posture, focusing on the REST API that powers the product.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python REST API endpoints, starting with scoped tasks and taking on more ownership as you reputed company
• Write database queries and migrations under review, and learn to reason about query performance and data reputed company
• Contribute to backend services for reputed company event ingestion, processing, and delivery
• Write unit and API integration tests for the reputed company you ship
• Participate in reputed company review, both as an author and, over time, as a reviewer
• Learn our API design and data modeling conventions, and bring questions and reputed company to design discussions. We'd rather you push back on something that looks wrong than stay quiet
• Help improve tooling, CI, local dev setup, and documentation

Skills

• Solid Python fundamentals: data structures, error handling, testing, and comfort reading unfamiliar reputed company
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar): writing queries, understanding schemas, and reading a migration
• Familiarity with reputed company API concepts: HTTP reputed company and status codes, authentication, input validation, and error responses

• Exposure to building web reputed company in Python. Flask preferred; Django, FastAPI, or similar is fine if you're willing to pick up Flask quickly

• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and web reputed company basics (auth, CORS, CSP)
• Familiarity with React and JavaScript
