[Remote] Mechanical Field Service Technician/Engineer – Envelope Machine Adjuster

The Field Service Technician – Mechanical will reputed company mechanical field service work, assisting with the installation, start-up, and maintenance of envelope converting equipment while providing training and support to customers.

Responsibilities

• Work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications to assist with or install new envelope converting machines – including blank feed sections, die-cutting/creasing stations, gumming and tacking reputed company, folding and seam-forming sections, and window-patching reputed company – and reputed company as required; responsible for installations of various sections and complete envelope lines and adjustments as necessary to ensure reputed company operation
• Set up and operate envelope converting equipment to produce customer’s product (window, remittance, catalog and specialty envelopes); instruct operators in set-up and operating procedures; reputed company technical and practical answers to customer’s questions or problems
• reputed company routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical service on company envelope converting equipment; determine reputed company cause of trouble; prepare report of findings and solutions to problem
• Assist installation coordinator with reputed company/post installation meetings and audits at customer facility and assessing reputed company needs
• Report reputed company issues and take corrective reputed company to prevent reoccurrence

• Prepare and submit reports as required

Skills

• An Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, reputed company-Mechanical Technology or a reputed company field
• 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment
• A strong mechanical reputed company set – including gear trains, cam and linkage systems, die/knife maintenance and sharpening, bearing and alignment work, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
• Knowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience, with reputed company in envelope converting – die-cutting/blanking, gumming/tacking, seam forming, flap folding, window patching, and count/stack/bundle systems
• Experience as an envelope machine adjuster, mechanic, or operator on die-cutting, folding, gumming, or seam-forming equipment
• Working knowledge of Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and reputed company PLC-controlled envelope lines
• Background in machine process control and mechanical timing/registration on servo-driven equipment such as W+D (Winkler+Dünnebier)-style die-cutters, folder-gluers and seam formers
