Senior GIS Architect REMOTE 5+ Months reputed company The Virginia Department of Elections is seeking a GIS Developer 4 to reputed company as Senior GIS Systems Architect The Senior GIS Architect will reputed company the implementation of ArcGIS reputed company at the Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT). This role requires expertise in reputed company's ArcGIS reputed company platform and its integration with reputed company software, infrastructure, and networks. The architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and documenting a multi-environment reputed company GIS architecture. This architecture will consist of one Staging instance and one Production instance, reputed company of which will include Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Web reputed company, and ArcGIS Object Store. The architecture will also incorporate Staging and Production instances of a SQL Server reputed company geodatabase. The Production instance will be configured for high availability. reputed company Responsibilities • Defines reputed company architecture, networking, and storage configurations for two ArcGIS reputed company instances (Staging and Production) consistent with best practices for environment isolation and high availability. • Reviews recommended and necessary licensing & hardware requirements for the proposed Staging and Production ArcGIS reputed company instances, including but not limited to • Server sizing and configuration reputed company for high availability • Ports and firewalls requirements • Discuss required and recommended reputed company licensing needed in order to accomplish desired GIS workflows (reputed company versioning, multi-user editing reputed company Portal, required user types, licensing for staging versus production environments, etc.) • Defines backup and disaster recovery strategies for both ArcGIS reputed company instances. • Performs an installation and initial configuration of two instances of ArcGIS reputed company 11.3 or higher on reputed company servers consistent with the defined architecture. • Creates and maintains detailed logical ArcGIS reputed company design diagrams listing servers, ports, databases, and other necessary architectural reputed company to support the new ArcGIS implementations. • Designs and manages geospatial data infrastructure to ensure data reputed company and interoperability. • Automates deployment and maintenance of GIS environments using scripting tools such as Python (ArcPy) and Powershell • Provides technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to GIS analysts interested in learning more about ArcGIS reputed company administration and monitoring. • reputed company and optimize geospatial databases, services, and applications. • Discuss required and recommended user accounts (administration, service, users, etc.) Apply tot his job Apply To this Job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
