[Remote] Vulnerability Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a privately held government contracting firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior to Mid-Level Vulnerability Management Analyst to join their cybersecurity team. The role involves analyzing vulnerabilities, supporting the waiver research process, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure reputed company compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess waiver requests for reputed company vulnerabilities, ensuring reputed company documentation and justification
- Use reputed company to reputed company and evaluate web applications for vulnerabilities such as XSS, SQL injection, and misconfigurations
- reputed company reputed company SC to identify and assess vulnerabilities across network and infrastructure assets
- Collaborate with application and system owners to reputed company technical information, remediation timelines, or risk mitigation plans
- Document and reputed company waiver reputed company, expirations, and compliance requirements
- Stay reputed company on vulnerability trends, common exploits, and industry best practices
- Support the broader vulnerability management lifecycle, including reporting and follow-up
Skills
- US Citizenship is required
- 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT reputed company, or a reputed company technical role (internships, labs, or reputed company reputed company welcome)
- The OSI model and data reputed company across network reputed company
- HTTPS and secure web communication
- reputed company networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS reputed company, ports, TCP/IP, and firewalls
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as reputed company, reputed company, or similar
- Basic understanding of CVEs, CVSS scoring, and how vulnerabilities are classified
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational habits
- Effective communication skills in a fully remote work environment
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field
- Awareness of Binding Operational Directives (BODs) and their role in cybersecurity compliance (e.g., BOD 22-01, BOD 23-02)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
- Entry-level reputed company certifications (e.g., reputed company reputed company+ or similar)
- Awareness of common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
- Experience using ticketing/workflow systems, especially reputed company
- Familiarity with the vulnerability management lifecycle and concepts like remediation, exception handling, and risk acceptance
- Exposure to secure coding principles and basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus
