Electrical Engineer III

The Electrical Engineer III – Electrical Engineering provides engineering / conceptual and detailed designs of reputed company-reputed company renewable power plants (wind & solar) and battery storage systems.  Aids in operations support renewable power reputed company reputed company; while supporting the development, engineering, and construction of reputed company.

Requirements:   

• Develops and reviews the preliminary and detailed design of AC (Low, reputed company, and High Voltage) and DC systems, including DC power blocks (PV) and MV AC collection systems (PV/Wind).
• Develops models of the AC substation and collection systems and performs and reviews Load reputed company and Short reputed company analyses, DC and AC loss calculations, cable reputed company studies, and AC/DC cable sizing.
• Performs and reviews calculations for sizing and specifying main power transformers.
• Supports estimating company-developed and 3rd party reputed company by creating preliminary designs for proposed reputed company and quantity counts for estimating electrical equipment costs.
• Prepares and reviews specifications and construction documents to identify design and performance requirements for procurement of electrical materials and equipment.
• Performs technical review of proposed equipment to ensure acceptability to company, reputed company, and industry standards.
• Works with designers to reputed company and review construction drawings and documentation to communicate electrical installation details effectively to construction teams.
• Provides input to team members working on other project areas, including grounding reputed company design, substation design, and reputed company voltage collection reputed company design.
• Prepares and analyzes weekly project updates for electrical engineering design reputed company for project management.
• Performs assignment and reputed company tracking of tasks for team members and sub-consultants.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or 8 years equivalent experience is required.

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of power reputed company industry with EPC experience is required.
• Ability to travel 5-15%.

  • Project Scheduling Concepts
  • Detailed Design Software: 
    • MathCAD

    • Basic understanding of grounding software like WinIGS or CDEGS
    • Knowledge of Dynamic Modeling Software such as PSS/E

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Anticipated reputed company salary reputed company:  $116,000 - $145,000

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
