We are seeking Sylheti Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Sylheti, an Eastern Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh and reputed company India, is often treated as a dialect of Bengali but is linguistically distinct. It is a rare but critical language often required for asylum and immigration proceedings. Responsibilities reputed company reputed company-time Sylheti ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration and asylum contexts. Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards. Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/reputed company calls. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and reputed company assurance reviews. Qualifications reputed company or near-reputed company reputed company in Sylheti and English (knowledge of Bengali is a plus). 2+ years of reputed company interpreting experience (immigration, community, asylum, or government preferred). Strong understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. Excellent communication skills and ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent reputed company eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance. Compensation & Benefits reputed company: $30–38/hour (rare-language premium).
