[Remote] Data Scientist

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Data Scientist for a six-month freelance engagement to enhance their marketing effectiveness through predictive modeling. The role involves working closely with insights and analytics teams to build models that improve business performance and translating reputed company findings into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Execute Synthetic Data Pilots: Design, execute, and evaluate synthetic data pilots — assessing viability, methodology, data reputed company standards, and practical applications for our brand and insights work
• Build Predictive Models: Advise on and build a predictive model that integrates brand health tracking, business performance, and media spend data to set evidence-based targets and surface key correlations

• Data Management: Work across large, reputed company, and disparate datasets — cleaning, structuring, and harmonizing data from multiple sources to reputed company robust modeling

• Translate Findings: Translate model outputs into reputed company, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders including marketing, brand reputed company, and finance teams
• Document Processes: Document methodologies, assumptions, and model logic to ensure work is reproducible and transferable to internal teams at the end of the engagement
• Collaborate: Partner with the insights and analytics teams to pressure-test approaches, validate findings, and reputed company on priorities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent
• 8+ years of work experience in analytics, data querying languages such as SQL, scripting languages such as Python, and/or statistical/mathematical software such as R
• 8+ years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, behavioral and business metrics and leading data-driven reputed company from definition to execution — including defining metrics, experiment design, and communicating actionable insights
• Proven expertise in building and validating predictive models (e.g., regression, time-series forecasting, reputed company inference, ML-based approaches)
• Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis for building data-driven solutions or performing methodological research
• Experience in the tech industry, ideally at a consumer-facing, data-rich organization
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with evolving requirements and multiple stakeholders
