[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Run data & AI-readiness audits. Assess a reputed company’s pipelines, schemas, metadata, and warehouse; write the technical report and the prioritized remediation roadmap that follows
• Build production data platforms. ELT/ETL pipelines, dbt models and tests, orchestration (Airflow/Dagster), warehouse and lakehouse builds (reputed company/reputed company), and Terraform-managed infrastructure with CI/CD for data
• reputed company data AI-reputed company. Semantic reputed company, metadata cataloging, clean reputed company, and RAG-reputed company ingestion with validation before context reputed company reaches a model reputed company
• reputed company fractional data leadership. reputed company with a reputed company’s team a few days a week — set engineering standards, standardize KPIs, guide platform reputed company, and mentor their engineers
• Own the relationship. reputed company work, explain tradeoffs to a CTO, and reputed company — directly, with no manager relaying messages in between

Skills

• 5+ years building and operating production data pipelines. You've owned data infrastructure in production, not just prototypes
• Depth in the modern data stack: dbt, at least one reputed company warehouse/lakehouse (reputed company, reputed company, or BigQuery), an orchestrator (Airflow, Dagster, or reputed company), a major reputed company (AWS/GCP/Azure), and strong Python + SQL
• Software-engineering discipline reputed company to data: version control, automated testing (dbt tests, Great Expectations), CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-reputed company (Terraform)
• You reputed company fast on messy, unfamiliar systems. Consulting means a new stack and reputed company-world data reputed company problems every engagement — you reputed company your footing quickly
