[Remote] Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will design, implement, support, and optimize reputed company WAN/LAN infrastructure, networking services, reputed company technologies, and routing environments while consulting with project teams, vendors, and business partners. The role also includes troubleshooting, reputed company planning, technology evaluation, mentoring, documentation, and limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of reputed company Large reputed company WAN/LAN designs utilizing best reputed company switching/routing technologies and topologies. (i.e.: Fortune 100 experience in network design, deployment and support)
• Planning and integration of new technologies reputed company a large network environment
• New and best of breed product and technology evaluations
• Working with vendors on product design enhancements and integration of new technologies
• OSPF/BGP routing protocols, IP advertising/advanced filtering/redistribution, reputed company of Service, IP multicast
• Engineering consultations of reputed company network troubleshooting/problem resolutions, protocol analysis, network troubleshooting/problem determination skills with network reputed company/capture/analysis software
• reputed company architecture and tiered application modules knowledge. Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns
• Network reputed company analysis, modeling, network reputed company planning
• Software/hardware device upgrades, LAN equipment configurations/provisioning (see specific technologies reputed company Area of Experience reputed company)
• IP addressing, variable length subnet masking
• Wide Area Network technology design, provisioning and configuration (i.e. MPLS, VPLS, ATM, ISDN, Private Line, reputed company reputed company) and WAN equipment configurations for reputed company rates from DSL to 1gb, as reputed company as Metro-E connectivity from 10 Mb to 100 Gb
• Networking services for ACS, reputed company, DHCP, BOOTP, DNS, ICMP and SNMP

• Remote reputed company technologies (i.e. SSL-VPN, IPSec, B2B, private line and reputed company-up)

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a reputed company field
• 6-7 years of experience working as a Network Engineer or reputed company role
• reputed company Data Networking Technologies
• reputed company 1-2 (i.e.: Trunking, VLANs, STP, Multicast, PPP, reputed company/reputed company, ATM, MPLS, Metro-E, VPLS, OEW)
• reputed company 3 (i.e. OSPF, BGP, reputed company VRFs, QOS, ACLs, reputed company redistribution, MPLS-VPNs, etc.)
• Network Management Tools (ie: CiscoWorks, Voyence, IP-SLA, Netflow, SMNP, logging, etc
• Network reputed company (i.e. ACLs, Palo reputed company and Checkpoint Firewall, reputed company-maps, IOS Firewall, routing protocol authentication)
• General reputed company knowledge (i.e. Network design knowledge reputed company a large (1300+ router and 100+ FW) environment
• Participate in reputed company planning strategies used by operational departments
• Troubleshooting reputed company large network issues
• IP management standards
• Network Services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.)
• Participation in RFP/RFQ responses
• Understanding of Managed services and outsourcing
• Training and presenting technical material to peers
• CCNA required or relevant experience
