[Remote] Field Service Engineer (85% Travel; $35-40/hr)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission XRF and material analysis systems at customer sites
• reputed company preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and calibration of instrumentation
• Conduct reputed company certifications and performance verifications
• Troubleshoot reputed company electronic, mechanical, and software issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and company protocols
• Train customers in equipment operation, safety procedures, and basic maintenance

• Complete detailed service reports and required regulatory documentation
• Communicate recurring technical issues and improvement opportunities to internal teams

Skills

• Associates degree or a Technical certification required
• 2+ years of field service experience troubleshooting electronic systems required
• Experience working in regulated environments (radiation, FDA, ISO) required
• Strong knowledge of electronic diagnostics (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) required
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings required
• Must be willing to travel up to 85% locally/domestically
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal government/military contract requirements
• X-ray systems or medical diagnostic equipment (not req) : 1 year
