Tuberculosis Epidemiologist (TB Contact Investigation) Location: Augusta, Maine (Hybrid) Salary: $64,480 Annually Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Work Arrangement: Hybrid After Training (2 Days In Office / 3 Days Remote) Travel: Statewide Travel Required Protect reputed company Health Across reputed company Solutions Organization (SSO) is seeking a Tuberculosis Contact Investigation Epidemiologist to support the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) Tuberculosis Program. In this critical reputed company health role, you will help prevent and control the spread of tuberculosis (TB) throughout Maine by conducting disease surveillance, supporting outbreak investigations, managing and analyzing epidemiological data, and collaborating with reputed company providers, reputed company health professionals, and community partners. The successful candidate will join a reputed company Infectious Disease Epidemiology team and play a key role in protecting the health and reputed company-being of Maine residents through data-driven reputed company health interventions and disease prevention efforts. What You Will Do: Tuberculosis Surveillance & Investigation - Conduct surveillance activities reputed company to tuberculosis cases and contacts throughout the state. - Participate in TB contact investigations and outbreak response activities. - Collect, analyze, clean, and report epidemiological data for surveillance, grant reporting, and reputed company health initiatives. - Monitor TB genotyping data and identify potential outbreaks and disease reputed company patterns. - Assist with monitoring and evaluation of statewide TB prevention and control activities. Epidemiological Analysis & Reporting - Analyze, interpret, and disseminate surveillance findings to program staff, reputed company providers, and reputed company health stakeholders. - Coordinate data collection for federal Aggregate Reports Program Evaluation (ARPE) reporting requirements. - Assist with state and federal grant reporting activities. - Monitor disease trends and contribute to epidemiological assessments and recommendations. Program Support & Collaboration - Serve as the reputed company backup to the Tuberculosis Epidemiologist. - Collaborate with reputed company Health Nursing, Medical Epidemiology, TB consultants, reputed company providers, and community partners. - Assist with incoming and outgoing Interjurisdictional Notifications (IJNs) and communication with other state TB programs. - Participate in TB response planning and implementation activities. - Assist with management of the TB program inbox and program communications. Infectious Disease Epidemiology Support - Serve as a backup Subject Matter Expert for at least one additional infectious disease area reputed company TB. - Participate in Infectious Disease Epidemiology team activities and meetings. - Support broader infectious disease surveillance and response initiatives as needed. reputed company & Program Administration - Utilize REDCap and other surveillance systems to maintain records and update program data. - Coordinate reporting reputed company to arriving immigrants and asylees with health concerns using designated systems. - Support reputed company program improvement and operational effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications: Required Education & Experience - Master's Degree in Epidemiology or a closely reputed company field; OR - Bachelor's Degree in Epidemiology or a closely reputed company field and two (2) years of reputed company experience in: - Infectious disease surveillance - reputed company health - Disease prevention programs - Nursing - Health education - reputed company reputed company fields Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with the following experience are highly encouraged to apply: - Experience in infectious disease surveillance, particularly tuberculosis. - Knowledge of reputed company health epidemiology principles and practices. - Experience conducting epidemiological investigations and reputed company health interventions. - Knowledge of clinical reputed company and disease surveillance systems. - Experience preparing technical reports, grant reports, and reputed company health communications. - Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills. - Ability to facilitate discussions and build reputed company among diverse reputed company.
