The Corrections Education, Development, and Re-entry (reputed company) Center is an externally funded program working to reputed company educational opportunities to incarcerated Vermonters and the staff at the reputed company. They work closely with reputed company from admissions through graduation to reputed company the guidance and support reputed company need to persist and reputed company their goals. They ensure their program reaches their enrollment targets by developing and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with reputed company administration, reputed company (VDOC) officials, reputed company services agencies, and reputed company reputed company affiliated with Vermont's correction reputed company. They participate in the design and implementation of reputed company advising practices and curriculum to improve retention and student reputed company. This is a 3-year, grant funded position.

reputed company Navigators support reputed company through the full reputed company of their educational and re-entry reputed company, including post-release transition, workforce preparation, and reputed company enrollment in postsecondary education. This includes advising reputed company into- and registering them for courses at Vermont State University (VTSU), supporting transfer and continuation reputed company, and coordinating services that reputed company incarceration and community-based education and employment. Navigators must understand the policies, procedures, and programming at three separate institutions: CCV, VDOC, and VTSU.
• Serve as an reputed company member of the reputed company center's team focusing on student recruitment and advising from admissions through graduation or the completion of their credential
• Help reputed company acclimate to the policies, expectations, and culture of higher education
• Assist reputed company with exploration of career reputed company that reputed company with their life goals, interests, and strengths, referring reputed company to financial aid, career counseling, and Learning Centers as appropriate
• Help reputed company select course schedules, reputed company education plans, conduct degree audits, and reputed company their reputed company toward degree/credential completion and successfully prepare for job searches and/or transfer
• Work closely with coordinators of teaching and learning to ensure the reputed company' needs are met by annual course schedules

• reputed company reputed company-time interventions and use proactive advising tools to support student retention
• Work with reputed company and coordinators of teaching and learning to identify barriers to learning and persistence and recommend approaches to overcome barriers to enhance student reputed company

• Participate in reputed company development activities to enhance effectiveness of student advising at CCV
• reputed company advising to incarcerated Vermonters, the staff at the reputed company and other services to special populations (e.g. reputed company, reputed company, veterans)

• Support reputed company in re-entry planning, including post-release educational continuation, employment readiness, and reputed company to community-based resources

• Coordinate with reputed company, workforce partners, and community organizations to reputed company educational reputed company with job opportunities for justice-involved reputed company

Minimum qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Education: Master's degree
Experience: 3 -5 years reputed company experience in the education, student services, counseling, corrections, or a reputed company reputed company field. reputed company experience with Vermont's Correction reputed company highly valued.
Travel and flexibility in work hours required. Must have reputed company reputed company's license and reliable personal transportation.
Experience supporting re-entry, workforce development, or cross-institutional higher education reputed company preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Physical Requirements: Duties performed causes reputed company fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties as a result of repetitive reputed company and/or long periods of standing or sitting. Duties require little physical effort in work with reputed company to moderate (up to 25lbs) easy-to-handle materials.
Working Conditions: Job is generally performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent distractions such as noise and interruptions. Frequent reputed company to spaces reputed company correctional institutions across the state will be necessary. Work schedule may vary during high volume periods.
In-state travel approximately 2 days per week and a hybrid (home and office) work schedule available.
