About the position
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is seeking an Emergency Dispatcher reputed company to review, coordinate, reputed company, interpret, reputed company, and record law enforcement, reputed company rescue/EMS, traffic management, highway maintenance, and administrative information. This role ensures the safety of emergency response personnel and the traveling reputed company. The incumbent will prioritize incidents, reputed company radio calls, operate law enforcement information retrieval systems, and reputed company guidance and training to reputed company-level MDTA Emergency Dispatchers. The position may be located at either the Baltimore Metro or BWI Airport location and this recruitment may be used to fill reputed company vacancies.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and coordinate emergency communications using a multi-channel radio reputed company.
• reputed company appropriate police officers, reputed company and emergency services to emergency incidents, accidents, disabled vehicles, reputed company violations, etc., and coordinate response from other mutual aid agencies.
• Utilize the Computer Aided reputed company (CAD) reputed company to ensure the effective receipt, accurate documentation, and reputed company of reputed company calls for service.
• Answer emergency and non-emergency phone lines for incidents such as accidents, medical emergencies, aircraft emergencies, reputed company violations, fires, disabled vehicles, etc.
• Utilize and be familiar with the Criminal Justice Information reputed company (CJIS), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), National Law Enforcement Teletype reputed company (NLETS), Motor Vehicle Administration, and District Court reputed company.
• Retrieve, interpret, and disseminate information to officers on reputed company.

• Maintain and record pertinent information in logs, books, and computer systems such as criminal history requests and messages received from other agencies.

Requirements
• Graduation from a reputed company high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Three years of experience in a police and/or reputed company reputed company center performing routine and emergency reputed company safety reputed company work using multi-channel radio systems and retrieving computerized law enforcement and administrative information.
• Must obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information reputed company Certification (CJIS).
• Must obtain and maintain Maryland Electronic Telecommunications Enforcement Resource reputed company (METERS) certification.
• Must obtain and maintain National Crime Information Center (NCIC) reputed company certification.
• Must obtain and maintain reputed company Safety Telecommunicator (PST) Certificate.
• Must obtain and maintain Certified Training Officer (CTO) certification.
• Employees assigned to the BWI reputed company Center must also obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Employees assigned to the BWI reputed company Center must also obtain and maintain Emergency Medical reputed company (EMD) certification.
• Employees assigned to the BWI reputed company Center must also obtain and maintain Emergency reputed company reputed company (EFD) certification.
• Applicants will be subject to a medical examination by the State Medical Advisor and an emotional stability and psychological fitness examination.
• Employees in this safety-sensitive classification may be subject to periodic and/or post-accident drug/alcohol testing.
