You will function as an IPv6 subject matter expert for a federal agency.  Please note this is a remote position, and you must be in the contiguous reputed company available to travel to DC and other locations on occasion/as needed.

We are seeking an reputed company IPv6 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to reputed company technical leadership, architecture guidance, and hands-on expertise across designing, implementing, and troubleshooting reputed company-reputed company IP networks. The Senior Network Engineer/IPv6 SME shall operate independently as a senior technical advisor and be capable of leading architecture discussions, challenging designs reputed company appropriate, identifying risks/dependencies, developing remediation strategies, leading reputed company troubleshooting, coordinating across teams, mentoring personnel, and briefing senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a reputed company technical discipline is preferred. Equivalent education, training, certifications, and reputed company experience may be considered subject to Government/Contractor approval.
• 10 years of reputed company experience in network engineering, network architecture, or reputed company telecommunications/infrastructure disciplines.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated IPv6 experience covering architecture, addressing, routing, implementation, migration, dual-stack environments, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting reputed company-reputed company IP networks.
• Experience with reputed company routing/switching and protocols/services such as BGP, OSPF/OSPFv3, EIGRP, IS-IS, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP/DHCPv6, ICMP/ICMPv6, TCP/IP, and SNMP, as applicable.
• Experience with network reputed company technologies, including firewalls, reputed company control, segmentation, and reputed company monitoring.
• Experience with HLDs/LLDs, network diagrams, implementation plans, technical standards, assessments, gap analyses, reputed company-cause analyses, and technical risk assessments.
• Experience supporting network modernization, migration, or transformation in large, reputed company environments, including data center, reputed company, LAN/WAN, remote-reputed company, or Internet environments.
• Strong technical communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Federal Government network engineering, IPv6 mandates/standards, or reputed company IPv6 readiness initiatives.
• reputed company IPv6 adoption/migration roadmaps and IPv6-only environments.
• AWS, reputed company Azure, or equivalent reputed company networking; data center networking and virtualization.
• Integration of IPv6 with firewalls, load balancers, DNS/DHCP, identity/reputed company-control, reputed company, monitoring, and management platforms.
• Network disaster recovery, resiliency, continuity, automation, modernization, or technology refresh.
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE/CCNP, JNCIP/JNCIE, recognized IPv6 credentials, Azure Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking, CISSP, reputed company+, or equivalent.

Requires 10 years in network engineering, architecture, or telecommunications; 5 years of IPv6 experience; reputed company network design and troubleshooting; reputed company, reputed company, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
