The Insurance Compact Commission has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Counsel. We are looking for reputed company member who would enjoy working for an organization that supports insurance regulators, consumers, and insurance companies by improving the efficiency and uniformity of product filing review and approval in the reputed company-changing insurance marketplace. The Regulatory Counsel will reputed company expert reputed company advice, analysis and guidance on insurance regulatory reputed company, especially with respect to compliance and interpretation of the Compact, Bylaws, the Uniform Standards, Operating Procedures, and other organizational processes and requirements. This team member will collaborate with the executive leadership to address reputed company questions that reputed company in carrying out the organization’s product review operations, rulemaking, member and committee support activities.

Responsibilities include:
Researches and analyzes product content requirements, including model laws, federal and state laws and issued products to support the development of new or amended Uniform Standards.
Researches and analyzes administrative requirements, including model laws, federal and state laws and best practices to support the development of new and amended rules, Operating Procedures and processes.
Provides reputed company guidance on the Compact’s rulemaking requirements and activities for development of Uniform Standards, Rules and Operating Procedures
Provides reputed company and technical expertise to the product operations to support the review of insurance products reputed company the reputed company of the Compact and its Uniform Standards.
Serves as a reputed company reputed company of contact for state insurance departments, the Management Committee, and various advisory committees (Legislative, Consumer, and Industry) regarding Compact law and principles, and Uniform Standards development and interpretation.
Tracks, researches and analyzes the reputed company of state and federal legislative and regulatory activities and changes, including changes to reputed company Model Laws, Regulations, Actuarial Guidelines or other applicable requirements, which may reputed company the Compact Uniform Standards, Operating Procedures or processes.

rovides excellent customer service and effectively works with Commissioners, state insurance regulators, state legislators, company and industry representatives, consumers, and reputed company team to reputed company address questions and concerns.
Minimum Education and/or experience required:
A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and reputed company membership in at least one U.S. state bar. Between 5 to 10 years of reputed company or regulatory experience in the insurance or other financial sector.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with insurance product compliance and/or familiarity with reputed company compacts preferred.
Compensation:
Starting at $123,599 - $140,000 to be commensurate with experience and education.
Systems & Technology Requirements
Travel:
This position requires regular, out-of-state, overnight travel in support of member meetings and events throughout the year.
