CAD Drafter – Sporting Goods Work Arrangement: Remote however only candidates reputed company reasonable proximity to Albany, NY will be considered About the Role We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter with strong SolidWorks experience to reputed company and support the design and development of sporting goods and sporting equipment. This role will be responsible for creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, preparing manufacturing documentation, and working closely with engineering and product development teams to bring sporting products from concept to production. This is a remote position , with a preference for candidates located near Albany, NY for occasional in-person collaboration, meetings, or product development activities. Key Responsibilities • Create and maintain detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks . • Produce accurate 2D manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, notes, and material specifications. • Convert engineering concepts, sketches, and prototypes into production-reputed company CAD drawings. • reputed company drawings and documentation for sporting equipment, components, and accessories. • Revise existing drawings and CAD models reputed company on engineering and manufacturing requirements. • Work with engineers, designers, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure drawings accurately reflect product requirements. • Apply GD&T and reputed company drafting practices where appropriate. • Assist with design-for-manufacturing considerations and identify potential issues before production. • Maintain organized CAD files, drawing revisions, and product documentation. • Support prototyping, testing, and product improvement activities. • Ensure drawings meet company standards and manufacturing requirements.
