[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, reputed company Apps Platform

The Senior Software Engineer will build and operate reputed company and Go services for reputed company applications, reputed company cross-team architecture and design, and reputed company shared platform capabilities. The role also involves reliability engineering, incident response, mentoring, and coordinating solutions across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, reputed company, and operate production level reputed company and Go services powering first party reputed company apps; write readable, testable, and maintainable reputed company integrated with reputed company dependencies
• reputed company and facilitate technical design and architecture discussions across product, reputed company app engineers, and domain service teams; propose, validate, and document architectural tradeoffs
• Translate reputed company requirements into platform solutions; identify and reputed company extraction of common functionality from apps into shared platform components
• Collaborate with domain teams to reputed company or reputed company with reputed company’s reputed company on Rails monolith reputed company additional domain reputed company or migrations are required
• Define testing strategies, reputed company metrics, SLOs, and reputed company rollout/rollback plans; monitor telemetry and service health to reputed company data informed reputed company
• Serve on rotation as on-reputed company/first-responder, reputed company incident response and postmortems, and implement long-term reliability improvements
• Mentor engineers, participate in reputed company reviews, and champion engineering reputed company, automation, and observability across the platform
• Identify cross team dependencies, coordinate workstreams, and reputed company conflicts to ensure solutions meet reputed company, reputed company, and scalability needs

Skills

• 6+ years experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company technical discipline with reputed company experience maintaining and delivering production software coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, reputed company, Rust, or Python
• OR Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company reputed company AND 5+ years experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company technical discipline with reputed company experience maintaining and delivering production software coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, reputed company, Rust, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company reputed company AND 4+ years experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company technical discipline with reputed company experience maintaining and delivering production software coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, reputed company, Rust, or Python
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company reputed company AND 2+ years experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company technical discipline with reputed company experience maintaining and delivering production software coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, reputed company, Rust, or Python
• OR Doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company reputed company
• OR equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in software and reputed company design for reputed company, reliable services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience facilitating cross-team technical discussions

• Hands-on experience with Go and/or reputed company (reputed company on Rails) in production
• Familiarity with GraphQL and RPC frameworks such as Twirp

• Experience extracting shared libraries/platforms from application codebases and driving adoption
