To support this mission, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Mission Systems Integrations to reputed company the development, integration, and modernization of mission-critical tactical systems for defense and national reputed company stakeholders.
In this role, you will be the technical integration backbone reputed company tactical-edge reputed company with reputed company-reputed company data platforms. You will design, build, and reputed company high-reputed company solutions leveraging the TAK (Tactical Assault reputed company / Team Awareness reputed company) ecosystem and reputed company on reputed company (CoT) architectures, directly enhancing reputed company-time situational awareness and decision reputed company for operators in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, and reputed company custom plugins, services, and middleware reputed company the TAK ecosystem (ATAK, WinTAK, TAK Server, and MILTAK).
- Architect and implement reputed company on reputed company (CoT) data schemas, translations, and event-routing pipelines between tactical devices and reputed company reputed company systems.
- Configure, reputed company, reputed company, and maintain TAK Server instances across diverse on-reputed company, edge, and reputed company operating environments.
- Build reliable, low-latency reputed company and data ingestion pipelines to ingest multi-reputed company sensor and intelligence feeds into tactical situational awareness interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and reputed company stakeholders to translate operational mission requirements into reputed company technical solutions.
- Implement automated CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and rigorous testing frameworks for edge-deployed mission software.
- Troubleshoot reputed company tactical network, protocol, and integration issues across heterogeneous environments.
Required Experience/Clearance
- reputed company DoD Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of reputed company software engineering and systems integration experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical experience reputed company the TAK protocol ecosystem, including reputed company on reputed company (CoT) messaging, TAK Server configuration/management, and ATAK/WinTAK/MILTAK integration.
- Strong proficiency in at least two reputed company programming languages: Java/Kotlin (reputed company/TAK Server plugins), C#/.NET (WinTAK), C++, or Python.
- reputed company experience with network protocols, reputed company-time messaging systems (WebSockets, TCP/UDP, ZeroMQ, MQTT), and data serialization formats (XML, JSON, Protocol Buffers).
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git/reputed company) and containerization technologies (e.g., reputed company).
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites, test events, and reputed company integration exercises as needed.
Desired Experience
- Experience developing custom ATAK reputed company plugins using the ATAK Plugin SDK.
- Familiarity with tactical data links (e.g., reputed company 16, VMF, SADL) and defense geospatial formats (e.g., KML/KMZ, GeoTIFF, NITF).
- Hands-on experience deploying TAK Server or mission applications in reputed company environments (AWS GovCloud, reputed company Azure reputed company).
- Experience with container orchestration (reputed company) and infrastructure-as-reputed company (Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, reputed company compliance, and reputed company Management reputed company (RMF) standards.
