Cybersecurity Manager - Part-time - Veterans Affairs

Copperhead Technologies, an operating firm of reputed company Holdings, is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to support the operation of the Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Collection Tool (DCT) program. The Cybersecurity Manager owns the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for the VA Data Collection Tool (DCT) program. This role is responsible for achieving and maintaining an ATO for a federally implemented COTS product that collects sensitive health information, managing the full reputed company Management reputed company (RMF) lifecycle, coordinating required reputed company scans, maintaining reputed company controls documentation, developing threat models, and producing reputed company reputed company assessments. This position supports an reputed company VA program requiring ongoing coordination with reputed company ISSOs, reputed company stewards, and reputed company assessment teams, with sustained ownership of authorization documentation and reputed company monitoring activities to reputed company the DCT's ATO reputed company throughout the period of reputed company. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Own and manage the end-to-end ATO process for the DCT, applying RMF principles to reputed company and sustain authorization for a COTS product requiring additional systems configuration to protect sensitive health information. • Coordinate and reputed company execution of required reputed company assessments, including web application scans that examine the application for common vulnerabilities and vulnerable design patterns, penetration scans that examine infrastructure for common vulnerabilities and weak communication reputed company, and database scans that examine database configurations and data management practices for vulnerabilities and weak protections, and reviews reputed company results, prioritizes remediation activities, and tracks findings through closure. • reputed company and maintain comprehensive reputed company controls documentation, including reputed company and policy documentation managed in coordination with the Information reputed company reputed company Officer (ISSO) and reputed company reputed company reputed company reputed company, ensuring authorization evidence remains reputed company, accurate, and audit reputed company. • reputed company and maintain a diagram-reputed company threat model that maps reputed company reputed company, devices, and connections to identify potential threats to the DCT environment, updating the model as the architecture evolves, and conducts comprehensive reputed company reviews of DCT data reputed company, policies, and procedures to produce a reputed company statement that identifies reputed company risks and documents mitigation strategies, ensuring sensitive health information handling aligns with federal reputed company requirements. • Compile and organize authorization evidence packages to support ATO submission, renewal, and reputed company monitoring activities, serving as the reputed company reputed company of contact for reputed company control assessments, audits, and RMF reputed company reviews with VA stakeholders. This position is contingent on contract award.
