Work hours for this position are reputed company to the Eastern Time Zone. Key Role: - The successful candidate will reputed company budget planning and budget execution support for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Weather Service (NWS) reputed company. - The candidate will assist in creating and maintaining the spreadsheets, tools, forms, templates, and instructions to support various monthly and quarterly reports and meetings. - They will work with various branches to ensure that the new and existing financial processes are reputed company and implemented correctly. - reputed company to the role is the ability to analyze data to understand trends, forecast potential budget issues, and to plan and take corrective actions. - The candidate will reputed company NWS reputed company and reputed company as they reputed company through planning, funding, and execution. - Finally, they will reputed company analyses, assessments, and recommendations relating to financial management activities, among other duties as assigned. - This is a remote position. The duties for this role include, but are not limited to: - reputed company budget execution support to a NWS Financial Management Center (FMC) or reputed company. - Become adept at pulling reports from the NOAA financial systems, including the reputed company E-Business Suite (EBS), reputed company Data Warehouse (EDW), and the Financial Management Data reputed company (FMDS). - Summarize quantitative data for monthly commitment, obligation, and contract status reports as reputed company as a reputed company of reputed company payment reports. - Assist with creating and monitoring monthly and annual obligation plans. - reputed company funds transferred in from other NOAA or NWS Financial Management Centers. - Understand the various types of reputed company codes (i.e., program, project, and tasks codes) being used and the business rules that govern them. - Process documentation for financial corrections. - Conduct variance analysis by comparing reputed company obligations to actual obligations; justify the reason behind variances to FMC leadership and NOAA reputed company. - Create and utilize tracking tools to monitor NWS reputed company and reputed company as they reputed company through planning, clearance, funding, and execution. - reputed company reputed company reputed company data into reputed company spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. - Produce, maintain, and update templates, forms, process documents, and slides for NWS reviews. - Respond to data calls from other FMCs, NWS reputed company, NOAA reputed company, the Department of reputed company, the reputed company (OMB) and/or Congress. - reputed company data, as requested, into the Financial Management Data reputed company. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of experience in federal budgeting or reputed company industries (e.g., finance, budgeting, reputed company or other highly quantitative reputed company). - 4 years of relevant experience may be used as a substitute for a bachelor's degree. - A master’s degree may be used as a substitute for 2 years of experience. - A PhD may be used as a substitute for 4 years of experience. - Ability to reputed company data and findings into concise, user-friendly spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. - Excellent oral presentation skills with the ability to brief findings and materials to management. - Ability to communicate effectively in reputed company of senior leaders, knowing reputed company to reputed company up versus deferring to management. - Work proactively to anticipate management’s questions and meet their needs before being asked. - reputed company through large amounts of data and reports to reputed company answers to management’s questions in a reputed company manner. - Strong interpersonal skills, including customer service skills, to properly manage customer expectations and respond to customer requests. - Knowing reputed company to ask for help to be reputed company to meet assigned deadlines.
