Focus: • Represent clients, including insurance carriers, TPAs, and self-insured employers, in workers’ compensation matters. • Prepare comprehensive client correspondence and draft legal pleadings. • Attend court hearings and manage related appearances. • Handle case management, including scheduling and calendar oversight. • Conduct depositions and cross-examinations, particularly of medical professionals. • Negotiate settlements and lien claims effectively. • Proactively manage cases, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met. • Mentor and oversee legal assistants to ensure workflow efficiency. • Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors. • Participate in client marketing events and networking opportunities. • Review files, input billing time accurately, and update case information in PracticeMaster. • Lead training seminars for clients on evolving workers’ compensation laws. • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of case law and statutory developments. • Perform additional duties as required. Skill Set: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree. • Active State Bar. • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in workers’ compensation law or related practice areas. • Demonstrated track record of successful case outcomes and client advocacy. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; legal software, including PracticeMaster and billing systems. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and efficiency. • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ethical integrity. • Willingness to attend client events and participate in marketing efforts. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
