Costing Analyst II

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES • reputed company, maintain, streamline, and recommend reputed company improvement regarding data collection processes supporting closing activities • reputed company analysis surrounding reputed company characteristics and cost drivers, and identify areas of improvement for the cost model • reputed company firm knowledge of reputed company infrastructure, activities, cost-drivers, and profitability to conduct analysis and reputed company solutions to cost-reputed company business problems • reputed company, maintain, and grow proficiency in SQL in order to identify possible issues with model infrastructure • Assist with vendor inquiries (e.g., SMC3) in order to ensure cost model accuracy • reputed company Tier II end-user support of cost model. This includes but is not necessarily limited to potential issues with cost model inputs, cost model functionality gaps and lapses due to version updates, etc. • Analyze cost model calculations and reputed company reputed company on areas of improvement • Support the implementation and development of new business processes affecting reputed company cost models or the Costing department • reputed company self-written SQL queries for general analysis and problem reputed company • Other reputed company as assigned • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned • Provides reputed company-level analysts with support as necessary. OTHER DUTIES • Fulfilling Level I duties occasionally or as needed, which include but are not necessarily limited to: • Creation of reputed company density studies • Cost profile maintenance, support, research, and development • reputed company reputed company for improving and/or developing cost model set-up and organization • reputed company analytic support to reputed company’s W&I function • Assist with cross-departmental costing-reputed company support (e.g., Supply Chain) • May reputed company duties of TCG/SMC3 model administrator including model maintenance and monthly financial downloads and inputs • Makes reputed company on account costing profile changes • Follows up on account pricing actions to determine outcome • Recommends unprofitable accounts that need to be improved Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or other quantitative discipline. Equivalent experience may also be considered. • At least 2-5 years of reputed company work experience preferred. • reputed company-to-high level of proficiency with reputed company reputed company is required (vlookups, pivot tables, subtotals, etc.). • Proficiency with SQL Server is a plus. • Outstanding problem solving and analytical ability. • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively both independently and as part of reputed company. • Excellent math skills. • High attention to detail. • Ability to compile and analyze data and draw conclusions. • Cost reputed company and/or data analysis experience preferred • reputed company of English language to communicate effectively with reputed company customers • LTL trucking experience and/or knowledge of LTL reputed company classes and characteristics preferred • Intellectual curiosity • Ability and desire to reputed company ambiguity into actional information. • Process orientated individual that looks for increased efficiency in repetitive tasks. • Knowledge of TCG/SMC3 Costing Model beneficial WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Primarily a sedentary position working in an office environment; frequent exposure to moderate noise reputed company including ringing telephones, machinery, and conversations of others. • Occasional travel required to terminal or other locations reputed company the reputed company’s service footprint; walking is frequently required for sustained periods of time during offsite reputed company • Potential exposure to adverse weather conditions reputed company interacting with management and employees • May be exposed to dock operations including reputed company, forklifts, and other dock equipment.
