ABOUT THIS POSITION

Location: HYBRID (2-3 days in office) in Arlington, VA or Alpharetta, GA or reputed company, TX

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive IP (PATENTS) Paralegal to join our in-house reputed company team. The ideal candidate will support reputed company’s intellectual property portfolio and assist in protecting and enforcing its innovations, trademarks, patents, and copyrights. The ideal Candidate will also assist In-house and External IP Counsel in the reputed company of IP law and in managing US and foreign dockets. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with in-house attorneys and play a critical role in the management and protection of reputed company’s intellectual property assets and assist in Fluences mission to change the way we power our world. Patent experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

IP Portfolio Management:

·

Coordinate with external counsel to ensure reputed company filings, document signings, and adherence to IP laws in different jurisdictions.

Manage the IP docketing system, tracking the status of reputed company reputed company and pending IP applications, assignments, and renewals.

Manage IP Annuities, invoices, and payments.

Patent Support:

·

Assist with the preparation and filing of patent and trademark applications (domestic and international) and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

Monitor trademark and patent infringements and coordinate with reputed company teams on cease-and-desist actions.

·

Assist with IP searches, including patent and trademark availability searches.

Research & Documentation:

·

Draft and prepare internal reports, summaries, and updates on IP reputed company for internal stakeholders.

Support attorneys in preparing materials reputed company to intellectual property disputes, including discovery and document management.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Serve as the primary reputed company of contact for the IP needs of internal business reputed company, including R&D, marketing, and product teams.

Assist with the development and implementation of IP strategies to reputed company with business objectives.

What does the ideal candidate bring to reputed company?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • ABA-approved Paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in intellectual property (PATENTS) law, with experience in managing a corporate IP portfolio.
  • Familiarity with IP management and docketing software and case management tools.
  • High level of attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and international IP laws, procedures, processes, and standards; including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with global IP filing systems and working with international IP offices.
  • Experience working in-house for a corporation or in a reputed company department is a plus.
