Graphic And Web Design Instructor
Duties/Responsibilities:
Actively engage students in the learning process
Maintain ethical and professional behavior
Maintain knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures contained in the TSUS and LIT Policies and Procedures Manual
Participate in college service, which may include, committee work and advising and/or tutoring students
Teach classes during the fall, spring, and summer semesters as required by the department (might include day, evening, weekend, and Early College High School/dual credit); including online courses
Provide mentorship to dual credit partners/mentees
Attend Teaching and Learning Center sessions to enhance teaching skills
Stay abreast of national matters and trends in education
Assist in the development of curriculum as needed.
Perform other related duties, as required
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited college
Two years of work experience in graphic design, web design or related field
Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Possess good time management skills
