Transmission Line Engineer

Title: Transmission Line Engineer Company Summary: An established mid-sized engineering consulting firm is currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated Transmission Line Engineer to help expand their transmission line design team! The role will be based in either their Spring Branch, TX office or their Dripping Springs, TX office location. You'll be involved in working directly with municipalities and utility companies on high voltage and extra high voltage transmission line projects, with room for upward mobility and growth. The Transmission Line Engineer will be responsible for: • Engineering and design of overhead transmission line projects from 4kV to 500 kV, as well as underground transmission line projects from 69kV to 230kV • Constructing cost estimates for projects, as well as preparing construction and material specifications for various stakeholders • Communicating with clients and contractors to coordinate on projects The Transmission Line Engineer should have the following qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree from a US ABET Accredited University in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering • 2-7 years of experience in transmission line design in the utility industry • Experienced in AutoCAD, PLS CADD, and/or other engineering design software • Must be insurable and have a valid driver's license Benefits & Perks: • Competitive health benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance • 401k retirement plan with employer match • Friendly and inviting environment, including seasonal events Apply Job!
