About the position The Part-Time Adult Education Welding Teacher position at Broome-Tioga BOCES involves teaching and supervising adult students in both academic and performance skills related to welding. Teach adult students in welding techniques and safety practices. , ? Supervise students during hands-on welding activities. , ? Prepare students for entry-level positions in manufacturing and construction. , ? Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback. , ? Develop lesson plans that align with industry standards and practices. , ? Maintain a safe and organized classroom and workshop environment. Requirements ? High School Diploma or equivalent. , ? Working knowledge of modern welding practices including gas welding, plasma arc cutting, CNC plasma cutting, MIG welding, TIG welding, flux core welding, and stick welding. , ? Familiarity with metal shop machine tools and equipment. , ? AWS D1.1 certification is required. , ? Experience as a welding trainer is preferred. Nice-to-haves ?
