Sr. Tax Manager United States
Description:We are seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Tax Manager to lead the Company’s efforts for ensuring compliance with International, federal, state, and local tax regulations. This is a new role to Payscale that will have the ability to shape the direction of the tax function as the Company continues to expand its operations domestically and globally.What You’ll Do:

- Prepare annual global income tax provision calculations and disclosures, including communication with internal teams and external auditors.
- Manage global income tax compliance and documentation of tax positions.
- Responding to and resolving tax inquiries, notices, audits from different tax authorities, including federal income tax, state income tax, state sales and use tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and foreign income taxes.
- Ensure the filings for sales/use tax, VAT, GST, B&O and other gross receipts are completed on a timely basis.
- Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements.
- Identifies significant tax challenges and/or opportunities related to the company’s operations, including research and development of solutions/strategies.
- Identifies and implements process improvements and procedures for the tax function.
- Reviewing and providing guidance to accounting staff with the preparation of tax related close reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting accounting/taxation or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years directly related tax experience, preferably with a combination of public and private experience.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience working for a SaaS company a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740, income tax laws, and the ability to research tax issues
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Able to discern alternatives, make objective recommendations, and understand how to work with other business groups to accomplish goals.
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with external and internal customers including upper levels of management.
- High-Speed Internet - A stable broadband or fiber connection (satellite is highly discouraged) with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps in a dedicated workspace that has a reliable Wi-Fi signal.
