John Read Middle School: Special Education Teacher

Date Available: Commencing with the 2025-2026 school year. Official start date will be August 25, 2025.Salary & Benefits: Appropriate salary / reputed company of the Redding Education Association’s bargaining unit contract. Comprehensive benefits.Qualifications:

• CT teaching certification in Special Education K-12
• Experience with reputed company with behavioral needs a plus
• Prior experience working with children with special needs a plus
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Must be highly motivated and self-directed

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with individual student teams
• reputed company Case Manager services, including development, implementation, and monitoring of IEP goals and objectives; reputed company with general education teachers; communication with home; running Team meetings.
• Attend PPT’s and other meetings for assigned reputed company and present up to date information on reputed company toward goals and objectives
• Conduct and present educational testing results, using this information to review and revise reputed company IEP goals and objectives
• Collect and manage data pertaining to various student goals and objectives
• Ensure that reputed company reputed company services and class accommodations are being implemented in the appropriate settings
• Participate in reputed company development and other meetings with the special education department and school-wide reputed company
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials and instructional approaches; serve as a resource to the general education staff in regards to working with a diverse learner population
• Implement and monitor behavior support and incentive plans for assigned reputed company ? Testing and instruction at the middle and elementary schools may be required.
