Description: • The Medical Pack Leader oversees the health and well-being of our foster dogs by coordinating medical care. • They ensure compliance with veterinary standards and provide education to Rescue volunteers on dog health issues. • The Medical Pack Leader will oversee the teams within the Medical Pack, which include Supportive Care, Vet Care, Heartworm, Inventory, and Schedulers for Vaccines and Spay/Neuter. • In this role, you will help create efficient policies and procedures for your teams as needed, ensuring smooth and effective operations. • Additionally, you will work closely with team leaders to address any escalations and provide guidance as needed. • As part of the Operations leadership pack, you will collaborate with other leaders and medical team members to ensure the overall health and well-being of all rescued dogs, maintaining high standards of care and operational excellence. • The Medical Pack Leader is responsible for overseeing various teams within the Medical Pack, including Supportive Care, Vet Care, Heartworm, Inventory, and Schedulers for Vaccines and Spay/Neuter. • This role entails developing and implementing efficient policies and procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of each team, enhancing the overall quality of care provided to the dogs we rescue. • By closely monitoring and guiding these teams, the Medical Pack Leader ensures that all medical needs are met promptly and effectively. • This includes managing medical supplies, coordinating with veterinarians for necessary treatments, and ensuring that all health protocols are adhered to rigorously. • The Pack Leader is also responsible for training and supporting team members, fostering a collaborative environment where best practices in animal care are shared and implemented. • In addition to managing the Medical Pack teams, the Medical Pack Leader plays a crucial role in the broader Operations leadership pack. • This involves working with other leaders to address any escalations and ensuring that all medical interventions align with the Rescue's mission and goals. • As a Pack Leader, you will be leading a group of volunteers within the rescue.
