**Overview:** The Desktop Technician is a technical expert responsible for providing technical support and services to faculty and staff, ensuring optimal performance of computer systems and software. The successful candidate will troubleshoot technical issues, perform maintenance tasks, and provide exceptional customer service. **Responsibilities:** • Provide technical support and services to faculty and staff, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues • Perform moves, adds, and changes (MACs) as needed • Support special projects as assigned • Provide classroom technology support during the school year • Install new computers and software upgrades • Serve as Tier 2 support for the Help Desk, resolving issues that cannot be resolved by Tier 1 support • Participate in meetings as a technical expert, providing support analysis and IT metrics and licensing • Provide phone support when needed, with the ability to work remotely with manager approval • Work occasional weekends and nights • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, preferably • 2+ years of related experience as a Desktop Technician • Thorough knowledge of Mac OS, Windows, and Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook and Adobe Creative Suite Applications • Strong customer service skills, communication skills, and follow-up skills • Ability to represent the Information Technology Services (ITS) department positively at all levels • Self-motivated, reliable, and team player • *Benefits Apply tot his job
