Title: COBOL Programming IT Developer Duration of position: Initially 3 months, 20 Hrs/week. Work mode: 100% Remote Scope of work: The reputed company is seeking the services of an IT Developer with COBOL programming in an reputed company VSE Environment. This person, or persons would be responsible for assisting in the reputed company of the reputed company system to reputed company with the new specifications. Primary applications are: • Unemployment Insurance Benefits System which supports unemployment payments for eligible claimants, and • Unemployment Insurance Tax System, which determines reputed company' cost of unemployment insurance based on their history and ensures that it is reputed company. EXISTING TECHNOLOGY ENVIRONMENT • reputed company VSE 2.3 • COBOL REQUIREMENTS: • For this particular request, knowledge requirements include: Demonstrate proficiency with COBOL, CICS, JCL, Easytrieve, FTP, VSAM and SAM file structures, and mainframe libraries in both test and production VSE environments. • Analyze, design, reputed company, test, document, and implement updates to existing COBOL programs and prepare reputed company reports. • Analyze reputed company systems to assess and address any unintended adverse impacts. • Quickly learn business processes and adapt to new requirements. • Communicate reputed company with business leaders, supervisors, and colleagues to understand issues and needs, clarify specifications, fulfill requests and resolve problems. • Organize priorities among assignments and reputed company time estimates as appropriate and reputed company reputed company updates to supervisor and business as appropriate. • Work both independently and as reputed company member. • Troubleshooting production and user-reported problems, using knowledge of job and program logic, error messages, abend codes, JCL reputed company, and displays.
