Job Summary:
In this full-time, remote position, you will work closely with our pharmacists and clinic teams to provide top-notch pharmaceutical services, ensuring compliance with applicable State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Your expertise will be essential in preparing, packaging, and labeling non-sterile drug products, assisting pharmacists with advanced tasks, and developing strong relationships with patients, clinicians, and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, package, compound, and label non-sterile drug products for specific patients with appropriate final pharmacist checks
- Assist pharmacists in advanced tasks associated with patient care
- Work seamlessly alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients both face-to-face and over the phone
- Handle all medication needs of patients, including outbound therapy/medication adherence checkups and securing refill prescriptions
- Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center and develop new processes to ensure smooth operations and patient care
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
- CA BOP (California Board of Pharmacy) Tech License required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to adapt to change, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and pharmacological nomenclature; medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states
