We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Access Services Authorization Representative to join our team at Banner Health. As a key member of our Patient Access team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the care they need by obtaining and completing insurance authorization requests for exams scheduled at our Banner Imaging sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and complete insurance authorization requests for exams scheduled at Banner Imaging sites
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and request authorization for exams
  • Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and ensure timely authorization
  • Work independently from a remote location, following structured work routines and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, scheduling departments, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless authorization processes

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records systems
  • Certification in CRCR or CHAA preferred, with the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire
