Teaching and Learning Specialist - Elementary Curriculum (Science & Social Studies)

- Serve as a District teaching and learning specialist for elementary curriculum, assessment, and instruction in Science and Social Studies.
- Ensure all students have access to learning opportunities that meet MN academic standards and acquire 21st-century learning skills and dispositions.
- Assess curriculum, assessment, and instructional needs for the elementary program and develop programming to meet identified needs.
- Plan and provide support and training in instructional improvement practices, standards implementation, intervention practices, and implementation of district-adopted Science and Social Studies curriculum.
- Provide instructional staff with accurate and timely student assessment/testing information for decision-making.
- Deliver services to meet the special needs of all learners.
- Organize and facilitate staff development.
- Facilitate communication between the district office and schools, classrooms, and community to promote the goals and outcomes of Anoka-Hennepin School District.
Requirements:
- Current Elementary Education Teaching License.
- Ability to work in collaboration with others and function in team settings.
- Preferred: Full standard license in the assigned subject and grade level (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license).
