We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead UX Product Designer to join our Inspire & Motivate team, where you'll play a critical role in shaping the digital experience for our guests and driving business growth. As a Lead Product Designer, you'll be responsible for defining and implementing strategy for our Category pages, evolving the on-platform journey for our guests, and ensuring that our designs align with user needs, business objectives, and technological feasibility.

About the Role:

As a Lead UX Product Designer, you'll be at the forefront of Target's evolving digital experience, shaping it for our guests and contributing to business growth. Your focus will include defining and implementing strategy for our Category pages, evolving the on-platform journey for our guests, and ensuring that our designs align with user needs, business objectives, and technological feasibility. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and engineering, to drive the product development process and advance a culture of human-centered practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and contribute to UX strategy and vision for product experiences across digital platforms
  • Facilitate multiple cross-functional working teams and collaborate across multiple design and product teams
  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase, including journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design, and prototypes
  • Guide design process and mentor junior designers
  • Investigate using both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design

About You:

You have 7+ years of experience as a product designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product design work. You thrive at the intersection of design strategy, scaled solutions, and craft, and have expert skills in UX and product design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process. You're proficient in product design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, and have advanced strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills.
