Join our team at Arlington Heights School District 25 as a Special Education Teaching Assistant and play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to work in an IS classroom at Westgate Elementary School, located in Illinois. As a Special Education Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

This is a full-time position, working 30 hours per week, with a competitive salary of $18.20 per hour. If you have a genuine interest in working with students, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply. Requirements include a valid Illinois ELS (PARA) Paraprofessional License, SUB license, or PEL.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
