We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional Kindergarten Support Specialist to join our team at NYE County School District. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff in improving literacy outcomes and assisting with special education goals, modifications, and accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teaching staff with instructional activities and student support
• Help implement special education goals, modifications, and accommodations
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and families
• Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs

Requirements:

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Paraprofessional requirements as per ESSA (48 College Credits or Passing ETS Paraprofessional Assessment)
• Proof of qualification to be uploaded in application
• Excellent English usage and grammar skills
• Knowledge of educational, behavioral, and emotional principles and techniques
• Ability to relate to adults and children of all ages, particularly those with handicapping conditions
• Current CPR certification and First Aid training
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with toileting needs
