We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Data Analyst to join our team at Disney Amusement and ESPN Innovation. As a key member of our Preparation and Conveyance Activities group, you will play a vital role in executing, streamlining, and normalizing our expense and asset distribution models.

Job Summary:

The Remote Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing complex data sets to support business decisions, drive strategic initiatives, and optimize business processes. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, business acumen, and technical skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a deep understanding of costing and resourcing data related to our internal groups and functional partners.
  • Support the coordination of high-speed projects that normalize and advance financial cycles across the organization.
  • Support internal business work processes, such as administration costing, labor force management, and asset planning.
  • Work with various data systems and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports to support business needs, research, and problem-solving.
  • Document work processes related to key cycles, data collection, and maintenance, including tracking significant decisions and changes.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and system architects to support documentation and execution of data set plans.
  • Develop critical analytical structures and write scripts that help us automate and enhance data analysis.
  • Gifted in refining insights from data and crafting compelling storytelling for executive audiences.
  • Support Planning and Delivery Activities with impromptu demands from our partners.

Essential Capabilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in informatics, data analysis, data science, or technical fields.
  • Four-year degree in a technical field (Information Science, Statistics, Business Finance/Accounting, Informatics, Software Engineering).
  • Experience working with data and data control software like R, SQL, Python; building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, Airtable, Smartsheet.
  • Understanding of data set planning and capability.
  • Solid math and analytical skills.
  • Exhibited self-starter with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Fruitful collaboration and time management skills.
  • Areas of strength for detail, with the ability to step back and grasp the big picture.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Showed ability to work with design delivery teams to explore technical ideas.
  • Experience with Success, Smartsheet, or AirTable.
