Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate at our Amazon Fulfillment Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. You will be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team that works together to receive, pick, pack, and ship orders to customers.
Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing inventory, picking and packing customer orders, and loading boxes into trucks for shipment. You will use scanners to read bar codes on products, follow prompts on screens, and troubleshoot problems as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and put away inventory in a safe and efficient manner
- Pick and pack customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Load boxes into trucks for shipment, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed
- Use scanners to read bar codes on products and follow prompts on screens
- Troubleshoot problems and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure that all products meet quality requirements and are handled with care
- Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet (equipment training and certification provided)
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts up to 60 pounds
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Go up and down stairs (where applicable) and work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

- Safety: Your safety is our top priority, and we provide protective gear and daily safety tips
- Surroundings: You'll be working around moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts
- Activity: Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs
- Temperature: Temperatures can vary between 60 F and 90 F in some parts of the warehouse, and may exceed 90 F in the truck yard or inside trailers
- Noise Level: It can get noisy at times, and we provide hearing protection if needed
- Dress Code: Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety (comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required, and protective safety footwear are required in select business units)
