Scrum Master (Software Development) - Remote Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team at Lexipol, a leading provider of market-leading content and technology for law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, and local government professionals. As a Scrum Master, you will play a vital role in facilitating the scrum process and ensuring the team's success in delivering high-quality software products.
About the Role
In this role, you will serve as a servant-leader for our software development teams, guiding and coaching them in adopting and implementing agile principles and scrum practices. You will facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and progress tracking. Your goal will be to foster a collaborative environment that promotes commitment, predictability, transparency, self-organization, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Process: Guide and coach software development teams in adopting and implementing agile principles and scrum practices
- Team Support: Support the scrum team in achieving their objectives by removing obstacles or impediments hindering progress
- Agile Process Management: Ensure the team adheres to scrum practices and processes, and continuously improve them as needed
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate meetings to promote understanding, alignment, and decision-making
- Project Management Leadership: Drive timely completion of projects through meeting project milestones and effective management of risk
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master
- 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams creating software using scrum methodologies
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, promote collaboration, and resolve conflicts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and delivering high-quality products
